I fear, though, that the politicians in Washington do not have the same love of Liberty that I do. The Democrats want social liberty, but economic socialism. The Republicans want economic liberty, but social fascism. The left wants to control my money, and the right wants to control my life. Why can't I just be in control?
Our Founding Fathers fought a revolution for Liberty. They were being oppressed by the English monarchy of the time, and were forced to pay taxes for services that they did not want or need. They stood up for Liberty.
I believe that it is time for 21st century Americans to stand up for Liberty just as the first Americans did.
Please consider a political party that emphasizes both economic AND social Liberty. A party that believes that taxes are too high and government is too big. A party that believes that people should be free to act as they want, so long as they do not harm others. Please take the time to learn about the Libertarian Party. You will like what you see.
