How Weak God in the Bible

In the Bible, God that is supposed to be the Most Powerful described so weak and powerless, that could be beaten by human, and even crossed to death.

Look at Genesis 32:24-30 that describes God wrestle with Jacob all night long, and could not beat Jacob until He beat Jacob’s groin:

“32:24  And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 

32:25  And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob's thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 

32:26  And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 

32:27  And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. 

32:28  And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. 

32:29  And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. 

32:30  And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.  (Genesis 32:24-30)

In Islam, God is the Most Powerful and could not be beaten by human. If God could be beaten and killed by people, then billions of people that supposed to go to hell, could easily attacking God together until this weak God dead, so they all could go to heaven.

But God is the Most Powerful and not weak. In the Quran described the original attribute of God:

“It is He Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it; and for Him it is most easy. To Him belongs the loftiest similitude (we can think of) in the heavens and the earth: for He is Exalted in Might, Full of Wisdom.” (Ar Ruum:27)

“Seest thou not that Allah created the heavens and the earth in Truth? If He so will, He can remove you and put (in your place) a new Creation?” (Ibrahim:19)

That is the God according to Quran. Not only could beat Jacob, but all so eliminate all people and create others as replacement if He want too!

In Matthew, the God Jesus was brought to be tempted by devil until this God feel hungry. In Islam, God is the Most Powerful, even devil could not play around with Him!

“4:1  Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 

4:2  And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 

4:3  And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 

4:4  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. 

4:5  Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 

4:6  And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 

4:7  Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 

4:8  Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 

4:9  And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 

4:10  Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 

4:11  Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.” (Matthew 4:1-11) 

In the Quran, God is never feel hungry. On the contrary, He is the One who provides food to all His creatures.

“Who provides them with food against hunger, and with security against fear (of danger).” (Quraish:4)

In Luke 22:42-44 described how “God” Jesus very afraid seeing His own creatures: Gabriel, the angel, until He sweat with blood. You will not see any story of terrified “God” in the Quran, so I could not give you the comparison about this!

“22:42  Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 

22:43  And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. 

22:44  And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. “ (Luke 22:42-44)

In Matthew 8:24 described how Jesus the God sleep because He was very tired.

“And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. “ (Matthew 8:24)

In Islam, God does not need sleep. If God sleeps, then at the moment God is powerless, and no longer the Most Powerful:

“Allah! There is no god but He, the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) Before or After or Behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).” (Al Baqarah:255)

In Matthew 21:18-19 described how Jesus the God felt hunger, and could not know that the fig tree has no fruit, so he cursed the fig tree to death. I believe if Brigitte Bardot see this, she will protest Jesus the God immediately!

“21:18  Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered. 

21:19  And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. “ (Matthew 21:18-19)

In Mark 11:12-14 told that Jesus did not know if the fig tree has fruit, because the time of figs was not yet come. Even farmers or gardeners will know that fig tree has no fruit if the time of fig is not come yet, how come a God did not know about this thing? According the verses (Mark and Matthew), farmers and gardeners are smarter than Jesus the God!

“11:12  And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: 

11:13  And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. 

11:14  And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it. “ (Mark 11:12-14)

According to Islam, God is not stupid. In fact, God knows everything. There is not a single leaf fall down to the earth without known by God, so whether the fig tree has fruit or not is a very simple matter before God:

“With Him are the keys of the Unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a Record clear (to those who can read).” (Al An-aam:59)

“They said: "Glory to Thee: of knowledge we have none, save what Thou hast taught us: in truth it is Thou Who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom." (Al Baqarah:32)

The powerless of God described in Bible how God could not redeem the people original sin. To redeem the human sin, Jesus the God should be spitted, beaten, and crossed to death by people. Is it a contradiction?

Could you imagine a God spitted, beaten, and crossed to death by people? I could only say that is not a God, but a human!

“26:66  What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. 

26:67  Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,” (Matthew 26:66-67)

“27:29  And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! 

27:30  And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. 

27:31  And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. “ (Matthew 27:29-31)

In Islam, If people want to redeem their sins, they should ask God’s forgiveness, stop doing bad things, and start doing good things. Spitting, beating, and Crossing people or God should be punished, not to be redeemed or rewarded, because it could turn around the moral ethics and spreading violence throughout the world.

“And those who, having done something to be ashamed of, or wronged their own souls, earnestly bring Allah to mind, and ask for forgiveness for their sins; and who can forgive sins except Allah? And are never obstinate in persisting knowingly in (the wrong) they have done.” (Ali Imran:135)

I hope we could open our heart and mind for the truth. Put your faith in Truth, not Falseness.
