Sunday, November 17, 2002 The Williams family remains were moved to their new resting place within the Mineral Springs Park. On that rainy afternoon, a horse drawn procession started from Big Creek Baptist Church to the memorial gravesite located in the park. The family's first resting place was hidden under a growth of vines, weeds and fallen trees on a hill in Southern Greenville County, currently owned by Dewey Lemons. The bodies that were moved are West Allen Williams, his parents, Samuel Williams, Sr. and Mary Williams, and a brother, Samuel Williams, Jr. |
