WILL'S NEWS |
I have just realized that my life wasn't as boring as I thought it was. While sometimes I get up at 12 without knowing what to do with the rest of my day, I have got to the conclusion that some days don't suck as much as others. So I have decided to update you, "my imaginary fans", about those days that actually don't suck. So here are some of the happenings William (yes, on third person) is living trough. |
William went to the COLLECTIVE SOUL's concert in Downtown Wichita, with opening acts from PETE (from New Jersey) and PALO ALTO (from Los Angeles). My brother and I arrived to the venue around 15 minutes before the show. The first band (PETE) did a good job, then came PALO ALTO with their mellow songs (which I don't critizise), but I understand many people not liking it for that kind of show. Anyway, when Collective went on stage was really cool. The first guitar player looks like a clone of Kurt Cobain, the lead singer always dancing a lot with the microphone and climbing the sides of the stage and amps. The rest of the band played really well it was really funny when the singer started playing "Enter Sadman" from Metallica a couple of times and then said "Man, I wish I had written that song, but instead I wrote this one..." and started the song "Shine". The collest part of the evening was when I got one of the Collective Soul's drumsticks because we were on first row! |

William went to T-95's "Phil and Hank Show" (Wichita's rock radio station). At first William went to the show as an invitation from Hank after winning lunch with the guys from the show. The day Josh and Will went to T-95 Phil seemed to like the idea of a foreign guy singing on the radio. So after getting convinced William ended up singing and playing (with a electric guitar they had in the station) "Cloroformo", a song by a Venezuelan band called Caramelos de Cianuro. William didn't actually care the embarrasment this could have caused him. William actually thought it was kind of cool so he went for it. |

Finally William went to see INCUBUS in concert. William convinced Troy (William's friend) to go see Incubus in Dallas. These two individuals got to the "Bronco Bowl" in Dallas at around 7:45 (just 15 minutes before started). William hid a disposable camera somewhere in his body so he could take pictures (and again nobody checked him, and that was kind of unconfortable). The first act "The Start" a band with a female vocalist from Los Angeles, California did an excellent job and also sang a Nirvana cover song. William said: "Incubus is the best band I've seen live, it would had helped it we were closer to the stage, but naaah that's ok". The concert was great, they started with "Privilege", "Stellar", and "Pardon me" (the only song Troy knew the lyrics from), and they also sang acoustic versions of "Drive" and "Mexico"....Brandon Boyd (The lead singer) plaid a huge african drum that he's got. They also play this tropical-caribbean kind of song where Troy got all excited and started saying spanish words like "fiesta" and "rumba ooooooh" (that was weirdly funny) Undoubtely a great concert. |
