I heard the voice first, and it sounded familiar. The I noticed some women behind me sure was talking loudly, and often, on her cell phone. The give-away was when she called somebody and said, "Hi, it's Cokie." I turned, oh so subtlely, and sure enought it was her.
She remarked she had some problem scheduling the trip and didn't have a newspaper. I happened to have both the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal. Did I offer them? Heck no.
