On my near-daily walk I spot a very tall man turning into the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Park Avenue.  Wait a minute, "That's Kareem Abdul-Jabbar."  He had a snow cap on. It was a cold day.

For a day I doubted it was him, but then I read a story in the NY Post that he and some others were in NY accepting an award for something or the other.

I used to love to watch him play.
