| Who would have thought I would have liked this movie so much? Who would have thought it would spark my imagination to an extent never achieved? Well let me tell you, this movie is worth every minute, but you have to view it in a special way, which I'll reveal later. But first. I'm not a big Adam Sandler fan. Too NOISY. And those songs he did on Saturday Night Live? So what. But, I did like him a lot in that movie, "The Wedding Singer." Very nice. Sweet, funny. A good time. But this review isn't about The wedding singer, is it? I'm an on airplane, I think it was Continental. When I lived in Texas I flew Continental all the time. Austin to NY, Austin to Houston. I loved it. The planes were newish, it had more leg room than American. Most of the time, they were on time. My new favorite airline is Jet Blue. They have DirecTV in the plane, for every seat. Imagine that!! You know what my favorite channel is? The map. They have a little icon of the plane superimposed on a map of the US. It's fun to track the progress. So anyway, I'm on a plane, probably Continental and the movie they are going to show is, you guessed it, Mr. Deeds. Well I'm not a big Adam Sandler fan and Continental wants to charge me $5 for the headset. FIVE DOLLARS??!!?? But wait, they say if I have my own headsets, I can plug those in and use them and not pay anything. Or I can pay the $5, keep the headsets and use them on my next Continental flight. I reach into my briefcase, pull out my FREE headsets from Jet Blue and guess what? Continental has a two plugs (one for each ear) and Jet Blue has one plug. So forget it. I decided to not buy the headsets. So wait a minute, I bet you're saying. If you didn't buy the headset, how is it you were able to watch the movie? How is it you are able to write a review? How is it you enjoyed it so much? Simple, dear reader. I WATCHED, but didn't listen. That's right, I watched without the benefit of dialogue. I supplied my own and thoroughly enjoyed the show. What fun!! So, if you are not a big Adam Sandler fan, I suggest you watch all of his movies without the sound. They become five star entertainment. I'm thinking of doing the same thing for J-Lo. |

| OK. I'm a peaceful man, but these guys at epinions are making me mad. They are being just plain mean. Here I am trying to help people determine if they should see a movie. I write from my heart. I pour EVERYTHING I have into my reviews. Why why why do the people at epinions.com feel so threatened by me. I have a good job. I pose no threat. But the venom the spew. Look: | |||||||||
| Interesting... (Reply to this comment) by shoplmart but not helpful. Liz and this one: This tells me more (Reply to this comment) by naphtalia, in Movies about Continental than about the movie. From your review, the only thing I learn is that it stars Adam Sandler. If you ever decide to both watch and listen to the movie, I'd be interested in having your opinion. talia and this: Hmm... (Reply to this comment) by Dbbum I would have rated higher, but this review says very little about the movie. Also, you seemed to stray way off topic by talking about features and prices on an airline flight which has nothing to do with the movie itself. If you should happen to update this review with topics pertaining to the movie send me a link and I will gladly reate. |
