Husband and I were in SanFrancisco in Nov, 2002 for a meeting. Feeling virtuous (&/or fat) I went to the health club facility of our hotel to work out. One of the treadmills was occupied, I took the other one. Almost immediately I recognized the woman next to me. I have a very good memory for faces- unfortunately, not for names or specifics. Was she someone in the medical community, did I train with her, did husband train with her? I couldn't place her. Then I realized I knew her voice (a memory only - we didn't speak). Had I heard her speak at some medical meeting, was she a famous TV personality? It was starting to make me mad.
After my workout, in the room, I started to relay all this to husband when it HIT ME! That was Pam Shriver, the tennis pro, now tennis TV commentator! And I ran with her!
(She's related to the Kennedy's somehow, isn't she?)
