Pin Layout for the Centronics (Printer) Port as used by the Address Software. |
Here is the basic layout of the printer Port Connector. Pin 2: D0 (Least significant Bit) Pin 3: D1 Pin 4: D2 Pin 5: D3 Pin 6: D4 Pin 7: D5 Pin 8: D6 Pin 9: D7 (Most Significant Bit) |
For testing purposes, use the following guidelines to setup a test circuit. |

By using pins: 2;3;4;5, you can address from 0 to 15 addresses. Sufficient enough for a De-Multiplexer etc. I used diodes for additional protection, although I have never harmed a printer port (But rather safe than sorry). |
Remember to use Binary whilst using address. |

The Demo of Address. Please note - Ther is no error trapping or completed helpfile yet. But the demo is completely functional. (Don't delete - Uninstall from Add/Remove Programs if you need to). Unzip to a Temp folder and run setup - keep all directories etc. as default.We cannot accept responsibllity for Program or System Malfunction of any kind whatsoever (Demo Software was Virus tested with NORT...2002). |
