National & NTN Regional Rankings

On December 2nd, in Portland Oregon, teams from all over the nation come to compete to be crowned the best team in America.  Two teams from each region of the United States are invited and four wild-card teams also get an invitational.  There are currently 8 regions including the Northeast, Southeast, South, Midwest, Heartland, Southwest, Northwest and California.  Your Willmar Cardinals are in the Heartland region and are currently ranked #2.  New regional rankings come out every week. Also, there's the Super-25, which ranks the top-25 teams in the nation.  This is done by Marc Bloom who also writes the Harrier.  He's been ranking teams for 31 years now!  In the season's third poll, the Willmar Cardinal boys are ranked 10th!
