Emily married Warren Kyle Snyder and lived in Oklahoma
City and is buried in a family plot in Rock Creek Cemetery in Washington,
DC. Pictured at right is her grandson Edward C. Snyder at the grave of
his great-grandfather George Henry Arledge
Edward Snyder wrote in February, 2000: "The first is a shot of myself taken last Oct in Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, D.C. at the gravesite of George Henry Arledge. I am standing beside his marker which is located in the middle of the family plot. To the viewer's right are the graves of his wife Carolyn, and daughter Mellye Butts. To the left are the graves of George's daughters Emily A. Snyder and Virginia Arledge. On the other side of George's marker to the left are his son Hardin and Hardin's wife Grace. Directly behind George's marker is the grave of his grandson, Hardin III. Then behind Carolyn and Mellye are the graves of Caroline A. Hunt and her husband William C. Hunt. So this plot includes the graves of all the George Arledge family members except for Lewis who died at 4 years of age and was buried in Galveston and another son George H. Jr. who I have not yet located."
"The second picture is a close up of George's marker.
I also have close up pictures of the other markers that are in the plot,
should you want them. There are no markers for Virginia, Caroline and Wm
C. Hunt."
