Ike Arledge was born in 1886 in Cannon Co, TN and died in 1838 in Falls Co, TX, the son of Isaac Hassell Arledge and Eliza M. Akers. He married Lela Ophia Harrell in 1908 in Cannon Co, TN and they soon moved to Falls Co, TX, where they raised a large family.
