Pike Run Cemetery).
 

Notes for ISAAC ARLEDGE:

Isaac received $100 from his father's estate as filed in Randolph Co. NC in August 1818.  He was apparently living in Ohio at this time for he was married in Ross Co in 1814.  Isaac began farming in the extreme southwest corner of what is now Salt Creek Township of Hocking Co. an area known as Pike Run or Jimtown. An Isaac Arledge listed as Head of Household in Randolph Co, NC in 1810 Census as is an Isaac Aldridge. These are likely father and son.

In 1815 Randolph County Tx List, we find ISAAC ARLEDGE and EZEKIEL ALRIDGE AND SAMUEL ALRIDGE.

In 1820 census, Randolph Co, NC, Heads of Household were Isaac ARLEDGE, Ezekial ALRIDGE and Samuel ALRIDGE. But wasn't this Isaac gone to Ohio by this time? Who was enumerated?

However, Connie is still unsure about the connection between the two Isaacs: "I have seen this in print often but I, personally, have a problem with it because there is no real documentation.  Also, in comparing the birth, marr, etc., dates for the Isaac and his parents, it appears that a generation is missing.  It seems a bit odd to me that "Isaac" (the father) would be born abt 1736 and that "Isaac" (the son) would be born 1788...and the mother would be bearing children at age 48? Must have been sturdy stock for the 1700's.  Also consider the 1st 2 children born in the 1760's (Jesse-1762 & Wm-1764), then a 27 year span before the next four children (Mary-1781, Wm-1785, ???-1787, & Isaac-1788).  That seem s odd to me...as if there is a generation missing or a 2nd mother is involved."
