The purpose of the Registry is to:
* Help you find other players
* Help other players find you
* Help you find places to play
* Provide a place for MI foosers to get information
*Everything else is just gravy*
My Vision:

When I was first learning foosball while at Ferris State University, I found a place where you could get a slice of pizza a coke and a few game tokens for $1.50. They also happened to have a foosball table in the back. After eating a bunch of pizza and playing around on the foos table I started to WANT to play the game, even when it wasn't lunch time. I then found a local group of foosers in the dimly lit pub. They were not high caliber players, but I didn't know that at the time. We started to play pretty regularly.

Once you keep playing with the same group of people you get better, and then start to think you are really good. This is the point where you start to look for other players to whip on.

Hence, that was the time I recognized the need for a system to locate other players and places to play, and that is when I started the Michigan Foosball Registry in 1999. This was also the same year that I played in my first ever tournament. I realized then that I really sucked compared to even the rookies at the tourney. This is what I call "Foosball Enlightenment", the point in time when you see someone rip a wall pass so fast you wonder what the hell happened, or the first time you
didn't see a rollover slam into the goal.

At this point in your foos evolution, you will have to make a decision. To devote more time to practice to play in tournaments or to just continue schooling those guys at your local pub.

Anyway, I created this site for MI players for the above reasons.

I hope it will serve you well,

-Wilson
