Unkempt Changes Name & Re-opens Website!

I have left up the old "Unkempt" news just for the people who need to catch up on current events ;) We (unkempt) are now known as Wilson Lake Reservoir, and are no longer a grunge band.
A good description of what we do is to say that we don't mix music genres, but we do play many seperately. We range from 50's/60's blues to 70's/80's Southern Rock, 70's Classic Rock, and Country. Pretty much if you're a fan of any of those times in music history, you should find something you like from us!

The band is still currently looking for a bass player and a 2nd guitarist. So anybody in the Kansas area or surrounding states would like to play in WLR please contact us via wilsonlakereservoir@yahoo.com!
That's all the news for today, check back soon and keep rocking!

Unkempt News -- September 12, 2005

No Bass Player!! Plus Album News!!

I guess as you may have seen on the Myspace page, the bassist Nick Mylan is no longer in the band. We lost contact with him, knowing he was around to respond and he did not, so Chris and I decided he obviously didn't want to be a part of the band, and so he was removed.
So we are in the look for a new bassist, and also on the lookout for a harmonica player. If you have at least 2 years or more experience on the bass or can play the harmonica and live in or are willing to relocate to the central Kansas area, please contact us via Myspace.

Also, we have decided as soon as we get the band reformed and are ready, we will be recording with Anybody Listening? Studio (site here). We will hopefully be ready and able to start recording by the end of the year, or beginning of 2006!
That's all the news for today, check back soon and keep rocking!

Well, there's a new feature added to the site, you can now get to know a little bit about all of us. Check that out HERE.
Also the new tracks, regretfully, didn't get recorded due to a down computer. Hopefully we'll have some new audio within the remainder of the month.
Keep checking back for updates!

New Songs On The Horizon!

I'm getting ready in the next couple days to do another 1 or 2 acoustic songs, most likely "Her Name Was Rhoda" and either "Vegas Baby" or an untitled song. Hopefully Chris can make an appearance for one of the tracks to add a drum pace to it- most likely for "Her Name Was Rhoda" or a new take of "Comfortable Noose".
Lyrics for the 3 songs that currently say "Lyrics Coming Soon" will be put up shortly as well.
Also check the Unkempt Myspace Page for a new feature "Unkempt Supports". We don't require the currently listed bands link us, because we linked them for commenting about us or just being cool with us, having good music, etc. But any other bands who wish to be added to the Support list you link us and we'll link you. =)

Site Goes Live!

To those that don't already know, the original bassist Kyle Morgan has left the band. Family problems arose and he didn't feel he could continue with 100% effort so we parted ways. Drummer Chad Peterson will also be parting ways with the band soon, he will continue to play with the band until September in which at that time drummer Chris Barr will be taking his place.

The hunt is on for a new bass player still, if you live in kansas and can play bass contact Unkempt at unkemptrock@yahoo.com
