When she was seventeen she met and fell in love with Lord Shaughn that lived near her families manor house. They had a nice romance going for several months, and the young lord asked for her hand in marriage, but Angelicas parents did not approve of the marriage. There was something that Lord James, Shaughn's father, had done in the past to there family that they could not forgive. They refused to let the couple get married. Lady Angelica and Lord Shaughn planned an elopement, and they were to meet at "their" meadow loch, then travel to have Lord Shaughn's Uncle (a Priest) marry them. It never happened. Lord Shaughn was hurt on his way to meet Lady Angelica. The Lady Angelica went home to wait for a message from her beloved, but none came. For days she waited, worried and cried. Finally she received news, but the news was terrible. Her seamstress and long time friend, Lady Elise gave her the news. She told Lady Angelica that a traveling sales man had been to the house and had told her that Lord Shaughn had a tragic accident. Lady Angelica was out of her mind with grief. Lost, lonely, and fearing retribution from his family she took the money that she had received from her grandmother, asked Lady Elise to come with her and fled. Lady Angelica felt that she needed protection from Lord James (Shaughn's father) he was a very powerful man, and she thought that he would blame her, and therefore her family, for Shaughn's death. She loved her family and felt that she might somehow endanger them if she stayed. She enlisted the services of a mercenary warrior, who's name was Kyoji. They became fast friends, together they traveled, had many grand adventures and met new friends. Lady Angelica and Lady Elise made clothes and other odds and ends to sell at market places. Even though they never staid in one spot long they made quite a profit. With that and Lady Angelicas inheritance they were able to travel in style. Ten years later when they came upon a little church set in the Irish hillside, Angelica was suprised to see the face of her beloved Shaughn in the robes of a priest. She found out that he had not died that day so long ago. He was set upon by bandits and was badly hurt. His father James had spread the rumor, that the traveling sales man had told Lady Elise. Seeing each other again bought back all the love that they had felt before. Shaughn and Angelica loved each other so much that the decided not to loose each other again. Shaughn left the priesthood , and married Lady Angelica. They traveled to there homes to tell there families that they had gotten married. Unfortunately it wasn't so easy. Lord James was set against the marriage and insisted upon an annulment. Lady Angelicas family was happy to see there daughter again, but wanted no connection between the two families. So Lady Angelica and Lord Shaughn went into hiding, with Kyoji and the band of mercenaries protecting them. They lived happily together, traveling with there friends, Angelica selling her sewing wares and, Shaughn training the hounds.
