Norwegian Elkhounds enjoy prominence as a companion to the humans on our working farm. The Elkhound's work began as a 'guard for the gate' while his master went in to feed the hogs.
We live on a farm in south Central Nebraska that has been in our family for over a hundred years (we haven't moved much!). Our Elkhounds have enjoyed a happy farm life and have excellent temperaments and working qualities.
We have enjoyed Elkhounds as pets for 25 years, and have been hobby breeders for 20 years.
