Special-K |
The K did receive a few mods before I sold it though. an upgrade to the later style cast front a-arms and crossmember. some lightening, a gutted and modified airbox, a 2.5L injector, a really short coil wire and a few other little tricks. Rod knock and all.. I figure the car was loosing loads of power through an aged torque converter. Stock the engine is 108hp! I bet the most I could get out of the TBI engine would be around 130-140hp, with a cam change, a custom computer, underdrive pulley and some port work. Why not just toss a Turbo I or Turbo II engine in? ;) What do you think I'm going to do with my next K-car?? Like I said 86 turbo caravelle... and I still have that 85 turbo I engine sitting on a stand.. mind you it now has some "modifications"/ muahahahahahah |
This Here was my Very first Car. Nothing spiffy just a regular run of the mill 1987 plymouth Reliant. 2.2L automatic. I learned how to drive on this and my parents Jeep. The car had some problems after a friend of mine bent the hell out of the k-member and the front a-arms and steering knuckle. But most were fixed, I had originaly planned on tossing a Turbo I in to see if I could make it a bit faster. but with a weakened frame.. I decided to sell her and find something a bit nicer and quicker as a daily driver! I got 1000 dollars for it on august 18th. I have since found a replacement for my special K. an 86 turbo caravelle! just you wait. |

Its completely gutted and sanded beautifully smooth. There's also a 2.5L injector hiding in the intake to compensate for the increase in airflow ;) |
