The little GLH Turbo in stock trim is quite fast. A stock GLH Turbo produces 148 hp. Where as a Naturally aspirated GLH produces 110bhp. While the notorious GLH-S with it's TII intake produces a great 175hp. With certain modifications (to a Turbo II) your car can produce more then 350hp. I think the car currently has around 280hp at 15-16psi.. at 20.. I should be in the 310 neighbourhood! | ||||||||||
The car is now completely different from original setup. the vehicle has seen 4 different transmissions now, and 3 different top ends, but only two different blocks. Here's a quick list of whats been done : - MP Lowering springs - Polyurethane bushings - SLH four wheel big disc brake conversion. vented front disks off of minivan and solid rear rotors of off shadow ES - K&N round filter mounted to turbo - 2.5L N/A crank, forged rods and 2.5L pistons (kind of a weird setup eh?) - Walbro fuel pump (same as Super 60 but costs less) 255lb/hr - 3/8in Braided fuel line - Mopar performance Plus 40% injectors (soon to be replaced with 72lb/hr units) - Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Mounted nicely just below the strut tower on the passenger side - Brand New Garret Turbocharger w/2.5in swingvalve - Ported 1-piece intake manifold (90 degree angle removed) - custom Upper I/C hose - Custom radiator, to fit omni with an intercooler (incredibly efficient) - 318/360 valve springs - 88 TBI Roller cam and roller rockers (degreed perfectly to 110) - Mopar Big Valve race head. ported by local race shop - Intellitronix Air/fuel ratio gauge - Super 60 Wiring Harness - Accel 7.5mm spiral core race wires - 3inch Mandrel Bent exhaust low restriction Cat and muffler - HKS Super sequential Blow off valve - 52mm Throttle body polished runner surface and mounted on modified intake - later style coil and short custom coil wire - FM aluminum underdrive pulley (5bolt crank) - 4 wire o2 sensor - Bulletproff race built 1989 A413 with extra clutch pack. car has 3.05 diff and .96 transfer gears. soon to have 2.85 diff - oil system mods (cleaned up oil pump mating hole, opened up oil pump pickup and installed oil cooler) - Valve cover off of a TBI car. (one more port for a valve cover breather.. Turbo only has 1 for PCV) - A custom built Huge flow fuel rail. with AN fittings and braided line, small fuel pressure gauge mounted on the end - aftermarket slimline electric fan. the 16 inch unit. car runs nice and coolwith fan on 190-210 at the most - 16inch pumper rims wearing 205/45ZR16's Yokohama Paradas <--- highly recommend - Crankcase breather plumbed into fuel pump block off plate and runs to valve cover - 3 bar map sensor (unhooked, will probably sell, don't need it) - 2 seperate crank vents. One on the valve cover and one through the fuel pump block off plate - deep cycle optima battery mounted on the passenger side. - Heavily ported exhaust manifol |
