After driving a beat up old K-car (the mighty K) I decided I needed something newer, nicer and faster. I've always liked the looks of the p-bodies, so I went looking through the papers to find a 91 shadow ES, for 3000obo, I call him up, it;s a 2.5L turbo I with a 5spd, has cruise, power door locks, it's a 2 door and burgundy. I drive out, he tells me he likes me and that I need to make him an offer he can't refuse. I said hows about 1800... (figured I'd low ball him) let's just say I got the car for 1950! WOW, it's a blast, fun to drive, nice looking and in pretty decent shape.
I've so far only done a few minor things... new front brakes (pads and rotors) a tune up (oil, cap n rotor, plugs, air filter, pcv and a fuel filter) a Panasonic CD player, some new sony speakers and a 2 1/4 madrel bent cat back system from walker.. without the muffler, all I did was run a strait pipe out the back. sounded REAL good. I put a muffler back on right beofre I raced it and sold it. Car ran hard at 12psi! fast enough to with a 2.5 60ft time (yeah I can't launch with a stick) run 15.2@90mph. I sold it to get some money together to work on my pilots licence. that and a bit of a fit of annoyance. I sold it for 2600. all in all I made 500 bucks on the car!
