God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So he put His arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away. Although we love you dearly, we would not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, your hard working hands put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. |

What does one say about a man, a gentleman, that was quiet, soft spoken, a hard worker and one who cherished his family. A man I called Bub, my brother and friend. The two shining stars in Leroy's eyes, were his beautiful daughters, Donita and Wendy. Always remember, he loved you with all his heart and was very proud of you both! When Leroy was told he had cancer, not even for one moment did he give up his fight for life. When the days became tough, and they did, you never once heard him complain. He would only say "You have to travel down the road you're on." His courage amazed me and his will to live overwhelmed me with great emotion. I never was more proud of a human being than I was of Leroy. Within three months time the cancer took his life. It not only took his life, but took my best friend, the person whom I shared my laughter with, told my secrets to and had coffee with each morning. The person that I will miss most throughout the rest of my days. There will always be a place in my heart just for Bub, the one true friend in life that will forever be missed and forever cherished. I love you Leroy, I will always love you! |
