This autobiography of Jessica Lynch reveals the trauma she was forced to endure during her brutal captivity in Iraq. She still suffers from many things including her shattered foot and leg. These injuries plus other ones to her spinal, head, and arm injuries at one time made her believe she would be paralyzed for life. One account said she was even brutally raped. However with her strong will she has survived and is recovering day by day. In interviews she has stated her rifle jammed after she got separated and that she prayed to God for help.
