I believe in Faeries

Through a patch of moonlight
I walk into the secret garden of my dreams,
Glancing from behind the wind
A vision steps into the light
And holds my hand

~*~

Seeking a sky studded with dancing stars
The moon takes flight,
I close my eyes and do not talk
So I will not break the faery spell,
…I believe!

~*~

My soul has wings and flies with her
Above the little singing streams
Of childlike enchantments,
A timeless beauty with dainty feet
She dances on happy tunes of night

~*~

A speck of pure, clean light
In eyes of shining green, glow
Of the magic inside a pure soul,
Hair of honeyed wheat cascading
Like waterfalls of burning gold

~*~

I long to stop forever and listen
To her voice as soft as finest silk,
Beauty and happiness of inner world,
Leaning softly and whispering in dreams
She tells me not to fear

~*~

With graceful turns, slowly she glides
Swimming through the stars, a smile
Upon her lips born from the rainbows,
Beautiful, light and airy vision
Clad in mist, gossamer dress

~*~

Mystical creation of my mind
Showering in petals of enchanted flowers,
She rides upon the wind
Her aura shining, a goddess made
Of moonstone and satin skin

~*~

Air begins to glimmer with the flutter
Of wings spun in silver moonbeams,
Golden tresses drift … the dream will end,
Enchantment starts to fade … until
The night shadows melt
