Only A Teacher??
I AM A TEACHER!  What I do and say are being absorbed by young minds who will echo these images across the ages.  My lessons will be immortal, affecting people yet unborn, people I will never see or know.  The future of the world is in my classroom today, a future with the potential for good or bad.  The pliable minds of tomorrow's leaders will be molded either artistically or grotesquely by what I do.
Several furture presidents are learning from me today: so are the greatest writers of the next decades, and so are all the so called ordinary people who will make the decisions in a democracy.  I must never forget these same young people could be thieves and murderers of the future.  Only  A teacher?  Thank God I have a calling to the greatest profession of all!  I must be vigilant every day lest I lose one fragile opportunity to improve tomorrow.

My Daughter is a Preschool teacher who teaches four and five year old children.  She Loves being in the classroom. Teaching is her calling and she has taught for ten years.  I am very proud of her dedication to the profession she loves very much.
Here are a few poems that My Daughter likes about teachers....
Why God Made Teachers
When God created teachers,
He gave us special friends
To help us understand His world
And Truly comprehend
The Beauty and the wonder
Of everything we see,
And become a better person
With each discovery.
When God created teachers,
He gave us special guides
To show us ways in which to grow
So we can all decide
How to live and how to do
What's right instead of wrong,
To lead us so that we can lead
And learn how to be strong.
Why God created teachers,
In His wisdom and His grace,
Was to help us learn to make our world
A better, wiser place.

You Never Know
You never know when someone
might catch a dream from you.
You never know when a little word
or something you might do
May open up a window
of a mind that seeks the light.
The way you teach may not matter at all,
but you never know, IT MIGHT.
And just in case it could be
that another's life through you
might change for the better
with a broader, brighter view.
It seems it might be worth a try
to do what you know is right.
The way you teach may not matter at all,
but you never know, IT MIGHT.
