Chapter 5: The Voices
< ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
Shamein woke up to whispers like he always did since he was little. It was like many voices talking at once. He didn't know who or what they were. They told him about the shadow walkers, what he had to do, what his destiny was, who his great ancestor were, and everything he needed to know.

"Kill her, kill her you must kill her now." The voices hissed into his ear. He knew who they were talking about, but he didn't know if he wanted to.

He saw the new bandages wrapped thickly around his waist. She had helped him. He probably would've died if she had left him like that. Then again she was the one who injured him in the first place. Then why did she help him? No one had ever helped him without wanting something back. It was strange to him and it confused him. Ever since the day he stumbled on her notebook he couldn't stop thinking about her. Was it because of who she was or what she would become?

Shamein knew she left while he was asleep. Maybe it was because she was afraid of him or maybe she didn't want to be around someone who murdered people just because the voices said so. Not that she knew anything of the voices. Or maybe it was both. Maybe she feared and hated him. For some reason he didn't want her to hate or fear him. He wanted something else but he didn't know what that was.. yet.

"She'll kill you.. you must kill her first." The voices came back. They surrounded his head making him dizzy even though he couldn't see who was talking it just felt as if they were moving. "She'll ruin everything you've worked for." They hissed at him.

"You mean everything you've worked for." He tried getting up but the pain in his stomach told him it would be a bad idea. He sighed and tried to get back to sleep.
