Family and friends,

Well, the fall hunting season has come and gone.  It was a memorable one and if you didn't participate you missed out on one of the best I think.

Fall 2005 Deer Hunting Season

On the homefront, things have been well.  Nate's ship, the USS Forest Shermann is about to be commissioned in Florida.  From there, he'll be going out into the Atlantic for a while.  He's excited about it.  Kelly has been doing pretty well too.  Taking caring of sailors in Connecticut.  Dad is always the same with his interests in coin collecting getting the better of him at times.  It goes in spurts.  Grandma is about the same - waiting for spring to come so she can get out more.  Wendy and I continue to live our boring and uneventful lives trapped in Fairmont.  As always, I can't say enough bad things about my job.

I'm hoping that 2006 brings us some better luck with farm management and hunter participation.  We had a decent turnout but nothing like in years past.  I don't expect that it ever will be like it was.

We've got a few projects on the farm planned as we always do.  Namely, just stand and road development and the improvement of food plots and the like.  There's so much potential for our place it is unbelievable.  However, it will take that all-too-limited time money and sweat for it to get done.  Some things never change.

I hope to see all of you soon!
