Hi! My name is Windy Pierce and I am from Cardiff By The Sea, California. I am 24 years old and I have been bodyboarding since I was 13. I have literally lived my whole life across the street from the ocean. My favorite local break is Seaside Reef. I enjoy bodyboarding, laying out, spending time with friends, and traveling when I can. I look forward to traveling a lot this year. I have competed for 5 years straight. The first 2 were for the NSSA (I was the only girl to compete against the men, out of all the colleges) and some USSF contests, and then the last 3 years I have competed in the BIA. For the last year, I have been competing in pro contests here and there, and I've been doing fairly well. This last year was great for me, because I won the BIA tour, as well as the Championships and was able to compete with girls from all over the world. This next year is going to be my first time competing in the GOB tour and I am looking forward to meeting more women bodyboarders and learning from the best. I absolutely love to bodyboard! I also enjoy playing guitar and singing, and of course going to the beach, even if the waves are bad. I own my own business and so that is a big hobbie of mine. The business is www.LovingNannies.com and I have put a lot of time into it. I love kids and I was a nanny for 7 years prior to starting my own business. I also graduated from UCSD with two degrees, English and Sociology in 2000. My interests are meeting new people, traveling, getting more women into bodyboarding, and watching TV on Firday and Saturday nights (ya, I have a real exciting night life!). No, but I like to go cut a rug on the dance floor too!hehe. |

Most important to me are my friends and family. I am very close with my family especially. I have the coolest, hippest, most supportive family ever! My parents have literally gone to every one of my contests and they are my biggest fans (you know what I mean). My freinds are pretty great too, I guess I am very lucky! |
