Daniel always went by his initials "D.A." He was in
the honey [bee] business. Although blind in one eye
and with four children, D.A. was drafted in World War II.
D.A. served as a prisoner escort. He and Jettie lived
on Pea Ridge before moving to Pinnacle. He was killed
in an hunting accident.
Jettie was a school teacher and later a caretaker for
the elderly. She was making only $15.00 a month as a
teacher at the time she married D.A. Jettie is interred
in Antiock Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Airy, NC.
