The Deck:  The minimum amount of cards you should have in a deck is 40. There are also certain cards that you can have in your deck.

Semi-Limited Cards: These you can only have two of in your deck: Swords Of Revealing Light
                  Card Destruction
                  Witch Of The Black Forest
                   Sangan
                    Heavy Storm

The Field:

The Turn Phases Are:
1.Draw Phase: In which you draw a card.
2.Standby Phase:In which you use monster card effects.
3.Main Phase Is when you can lay down monster cards, lay down magic and trap cards, and you can activate magic or trap cards.(Only 1 monster can be summoned during this phase unless you use a card that allows you to special summon a monster.)
4.Damage Phase: This is the step in which your monsters attack your opponents monsters.  

Tributes- This is when you have to sacrifice 1 or more of your monsters to be able to play a certain monster, trap, or magic card. For example to play a level 5 or 6 monster you have to sacriface 1 monster on your field, to play a level 7 or higher monster you have to sacriface  2 monsters on your side on the field.

The main object of the game is to bring your opponents Life Points to 0.

Things you should do before you start a match: Greet your opponent with a hand-shake.

Manners you should have during a duel:
1. Always talk in a loud clear voice.
2. Your opponent has the ability to know how many cards are in your hand and what cards are in your graveyard.
