There are 3 types of trap cards:
Normal Trap Cards: These types of trap cards are activated during your turn. Once activated they are sent to the graveyard.
Counter Trap Cards: These types of trap cards can be activated during your opponents turn. After they are used they are sent to the graveyard.
Continuous Trap Cards: These types of trap cards stay on the field until they are destroyed by another card.
Continuous Trap Cards: These types of trap cards stay on the field until they are destroyed by another card.
