Alec's Birth Story:
On the evening of my due date, I was feeling some strange pressure in my, ahem, bum, while shopping. But I didn't think very much of it. My mom called me later that evening to tell me she thought I might be having back labor. I wasn't going to call my doctor until my mom said, "Well, I'm ordering you to!" We arrived at the hospital at midnight. Around 1:00 a.m. they started me on Pitocin to get me to contract better. At 6:00 a.m. I still hadn't made much progress, and although I'd asked to go home, they decided to break my water. The contractions got harder VERY quickly! At 10:34 a.m., Alec Michael Kummer was born! He was beautiful and absolutely perfect! |
