Amalthia and Celano

After Out Here on My Own from the movie Fame

Sometimes I wonder, where I've been,
Who I am,
Do I have kin?
I make believe, for I don't know.
Traveling with this show.

I look around me, marvels here,
But I see through them,
They are not there,
Try to remember, but the reason's gone.
Celano and I, all alone.

She seethes with hate. I cringe in fear.
Yet eyes of fierceness,
Hide trembling tears,
My sister then, her kind we spurned,
Her glance meets mine, my quest returns.

Bridge:
Then aid it comes, with speed and haste.
My cage is rent,
I leave its pace.
I free the others, and that leaves her.
Do I? Do I dare?

The wizened crone, lies still and dead,
The wizard closes eyes,
He shakes his head.
I hear her wings beat,
As she passes by, flying freely to the sky.
