Wingwood Farm is located on the edge of a small valley in the coastal Northern California redwood country. For 28 years our family has bred Nubians that year after year have demonstrated correct type and a distinctive gracefulness and flatness of bone. The group photos shown on this web page are examples of the lovely does that we have enjoyed showing at local shows and fairs and at 5 National Shows (Sacramento 1987, LA 1990, Salem 1995, Sacramento 1999, Spokane 2005). It has been gratifying to us that our does have always performed marvelously at National Shows, validating the decisions we have made in our breeding program. Our Best Three Females have always placed in the top five, and at the 1999 Nationals we were thrilled to have the Reserve National Champion, GCH Wingwood FarmLuke Tamaulipas 2*M, as well as the 1st place Best Three Females and 1st place Dairy Herd. In 2005, our most recent National Show we were more than pleased to have three does in the final lineup of six total we brought, including the first place/first udder three year old.

You will see in our individual doe descriptions that we are on DHIR test and we do linear appraisal when possible. We attend about 5-6 Fairs annually, as well as a few club shows. In Northern California Nubian breeders compete in strong competition, thanks to Kastdemur's Dairy Goats and Lakeshore Farms who keep the standard of excellence very high.  Our herd is a little smaller now than it has been in previous years, now that Fauna is a veterinarian and working in New Zealand and Trinity is working as farm manager at Redwood Hill Farm.. Because of the need to control the size of  the herd, we sell a fair number of show quality milkers every year, even Permanent Champions sometimes. If you are interested, make sure to contact us early. We do not take deposits on kids, but if you express an interest in a particular breeding, let us know, and we will immediately contact you after the doe has freshened. We hope you enjoy browsing through our web site. Wingwood Farm does and bucks have crossed quite successfully with several herds in the country and we are confident that an animal from our herd will bring something special to your herd.

Our 2008 Show season was very successful. In addition to finishing three does (Guadalajara, Sophia, and Sonya) we had many other champion, reserve champion, best doe in show awards. At the highly competative Sonoma County Fair, we has first place yearling, three year old, and five and six year old. We also had the first place Sr. Get of Sire with our Laredo get. At the California State Fair we had first place three year old, five and six year old, and the entire second place lineup. In addition to the success of our milkers, our dry stock did extremely well this year winning many dry legs, and being reserve champion at the Sonoma County and California State Fairs. (Sasha & Sally).

Please check out our individual doe pages for current breedings and prices. For additional information, and questions please do not hesistate to contact us.
