The Winnipeg T-Rex are excited to get the season going. After a misserable 1-4 pre-season, Gm Ryley Weir said," This is exactly what we wanted in pre-season. We planned on going 0-5. We played our farmers because we didn't want any of our pro's getting injured, and we wanted to see how our depth panned out if one of our starters got hurt." Pre-season stats- Gm Ryley Weir was happy about the play of Miroslav Zalesak, Deniss Konosev and Ole-Kristian Tollefsen. However they might look to other options on a back-up. Vadim Tarasov did good behind a group of 60ov players but didn't fully convince the Gm. Rick Nash will have to sit out for 3 regular season games due to a suspension he recieved in a fight. Also the T-Rex are happy that a team from the Big Canada will be hosting the all-stars. The Gm had to say this," Im happy for our chances to host the all-stars. It would be legit because while the pro's play there all-star game the farmers can play 10minutes down the road in Selkirk." Also the T-Rex are not going to be trading any time soon. Coach Mike Babcock likes the way his team looks and also isnt affraid to make call-ups because the team has such skilled depth he knows that they will perform up to a high level.
