MOUNTAIN HIGH CAMP

The 11th session of Mountain High, a camp especially designed for adults with brain injury, was held in Red River, NM, August 15th through 19th. Joining the 39 counselors were Joanna and Wayne Horton and Mike, Charlotte and Tracy Wilson from the Winnsboro Pilot Club and Joyce Curry from the Mineola Pilot Club, plus Val Valenzuela, a prospective Winnsboro Club member and her son, James.  Fishing, dancing, shopping, riding in open air jeeps, and horse drawn wagons plus special morning devotionals were enjoyed by the 69 adults with brain injury representing 8 states.  The Texas Distric Pilots were named as Gold Supporters of the camp in appreciation for the monitary and inkind gifts that were provided this year.  Thank you Pilots for helping folks whom you don't even know have an unforgettable experience in the cool mountains of northern New Mexico.
