Logline:
Ms. Baseball will make you feel good and make you cry.  Samantha and her coach will change Baseball forever, as this teenage girl is called up to play professional baseball.  Both must endure great hardships on their paths to meet each other.

Synopsis:
Samantha Evans is a graduating high school girl who is the star player of the Asheville Rams boy's baseball team.  She makes a promise to continue playing baseball to her mother who dies just before the State Championship.  Samantha's father dies at the Championship game as the Rams win the State Title.  Dottie, Samantha's grandmother, moves in to raise Samantha who is depressed and has given up on sports and school.

Rick Jensen is a 45 year old star player for the Colorado Rockies.  He has a heart attack during a game and is declared dead at the hospital.  Rick, miraculously, awakens but without the use of his legs and is confined to a wheel chair.  He is depressed and has given up on baseball.  His fiance, Jill, tries to convince him it is a good time to work on his Telemetry Training System that he has been taking notes on for years.  Rick is not interested in his depressed state.

Dottie reads about Rick and contacts Jill to see if she can get Rick to work with Samantha.  They both see an opportunity to break their loved ones downward spirals, so they make arrangements for Rick to meet Samantha.

Rick is not inclined to help at all until he views videotapes about Samantha.  Her abilities excite him and he agrees to mentor Samantha and try out his new Telemetry Training System (TTS).

Jim Thompson, the owner of the Rockies and Tourists, has a heated conversation with his Board of Directors who is trying to oust him as Operations Manager.  While Jime was out ill, they had stocked the team with players to insure the Rockies remain in last place, therefore hoping that public opinion will help sway the Judge to go teir way in a hearing that they wish to call.

Rick meets with Jim and presents him with TTS, and asks to be a coach at Asheville to try the system out.  Jim likes what he sees and tells Rick he will invest in the system and hire Rick as the coach.

Rick contacts Dr. Feldman, a Professor of Physiology at Northwestern University, and Lou Brokov, a mechanical engineer, who have been working on the TTS with Rick off and on for years.

Maharishi Jones begins as a new statatician and color commentator to work with Lean Lenny Butkus the Tourists announcer.  The Maharishi shares his enlightened views, meditation and quirky habits with the fans that respond by filling the stands.

Rick replaces Riggliano as manager of the Tourists.  Rick announces Samantha as the new shortstop of the team.  The team thinks its a publicity stunt until she out-performs them.
Rick is able to easily read the pitchers "signs" as a resullt of the training.  He begins signalling the batters the oncoming pitches.  The Tourists win, breaking a record losing streak and begin a record winning streak.

The Tourists clinch the title.  The night before the game, Rick proposes to Jill and the wedding is the following day.  Rick and Jill have an on-field ceremony with the Maharishi presiding over an unusual, but entertaining, ceremony.

During their after-game celebration, Jim Thompson announces he is replacing his entire Rockies team with the Tourists and they will have an exhibition game against the World Champion Boston Red Sox.

The Tourist win an exciting game against the Red Sox.

Rick has another heart attack at the end of the game and passes away.

Jill gives an emotional eulogy at the funeral and plays a video that Rick made showing his career.
