R.L. Stine |
Facts: He didn't really want to be a writer. It was his second choice. He originally wanted to be a cartoonist but he couldn't draw that well. R.L. Stine is just one name he's used as a writer. He has gone by Zachary Blue, Harlan Williams, Eric Affabee, Geri Shaw(when he wanted people to think the author was a woman) and Clyde Jones. He has never written a book set in New York City. He is afraid that writting about New York will be bad luck because of other books and storys he had written that were about the city none were ever published. He doesn't eat anything green unless it's mint chocolate chip ice cream. He doesn't like going to scary movies cause they make him laugh. To him they are funny. He can not dance. He doesn't believe in ghosts, monsters, strange powers, past lives, or any of the weird things in his books. He likes the letter M. He doesn't know why but he is always using the letter M for names in his books. Even his sons name starts with an M. He has a terrible memory. Sometimes he'll forget the main characters name in the middle of the book. He grew up in Columbus, Ohio. |
