         LIVING IN CHRIST OR CRISIS

2 Corinthians 3:18:   But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

We know that every time we are in the anointed presence of the Lord something happens to us.  When we are exposed to the sun, we will not only feel the effect, but we will show the effect in our skin and the electrolytes our body chemistry receives.  So it is in the presence of the Lord.  As the sun is to solar batteries, so is the presence of God to our spirit man.  From glory to glory we are being changed.  Remember what happened to Jacob when he came face to face with God:
HIS LIFE WAS CHANGED!

2 Corinthians 4:6-9: For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power ("dunamis") may be of God and not of us.  We are hard pressed (troubled) on every side, yet not crushed (distressed); we are perplexed (filled with uncertainty), but not in despair (to utterly lose hope), persecuted but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed (not neutralized, which is what the enemy wants to do).

When God's glorious light shines on us, we will never be the same.  With more light comes more change.  If we are going to be able to handle more light, then we will have to be prepared to handle the increased wattage.  The question is:  What will it take to get the glory of God revealed in your life?  Are you living in Christ or living in crisis?

Hebrews 10:32:   But recall the former days in which, after you were illuminated (made to see, given light, enlightened, given vision or understanding), you endured a great fight of afflictions (or struggle with sufferings).

When the light of the glory of God comes upon us, there is going to be trouble and conflict:
        (1) from darkness to light, and
        (2) from conflict to conviction.
Before Christ, we lived from crisis to crisis; now we can go from conflict to conviction to
VICTORY!

Remember we are not fighting flesh and blood, and our weapons are not carnal.
Ephesians 6:12: For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. The battle is won or lost in the secret place of the heart between us and God. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal (of the flesh) but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

A divided heart will not stand.
James 1:6-7:   But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord.  Proverbs 4:23:   Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. When the battle or conflict is won in the heart between us and God in the realms of the Spirit, then the conflict in the physical realm will have little affect on us because we are seeing by faith the finish line.  In other words, from conflict to conviction to the GLORY being revealed.

Romans 14:5: ....Let every man be fully persuaded (fully settled with conviction) in his own mind. We need to know in our "knower."  2 Timothy 1:12:   For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. Are you persuaded?  This has to be settled in your heart before you can go beyond the conflict.

Romans 8:37-39:  Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.  For I am persuaded (fixed, anchored, moored, secured, riveted, settled with conviction) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

        Can you say:
I AM PERSUADED! I am fixed, anchored, moored, secured, riveted, and settled with conviction--that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

We cannot get beyond the conflict if this is not settled in our hearts--from conflict to conviction.  Remember, it is the Lord God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, and He is the same God who has commanded us in
Isaiah 60:1-5: Arise, shine; for your light has come!  And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.  For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.  The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.  Lift up your eyes all around and see: they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side.  Then you shall see and become radiant, and your heart shall swell with joy, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.

Galatians 2:20-21: I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.  I do not set aside (frustrate) the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.

LIVING IN CHRIST OR CRISIS IS A CHOICE which is determined, not by the flesh or the will or man, but by the power of God's Word and the presence of His Holy Spirit in us. 1 John 5:4: For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.  And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.
