Painted and quill wrapped rawhide
Above is a pair of quill wrapped armbands. They may have 3 or 5 rows of quillwork.To the right is an old tin cup decorated with quill wrapping. Some items received much embellishment when acquired through trade.
Cylindrical rawhide cases, like the one pictured below, were used to store feathers,bonnets and religious items.
Below is a painted parfleche boxThese were important items as valuable possessions were usually stored in them. The designs were owned by the artist so they could easily be identified
