CHAIRMAN - Dave Blackburn TWAS Chairman Dave Blackburn is 46 and father to 4 sons, the eldest of whom is serving at RAF Valley as an SAC communications advisor. One of the founder members of the society, Dave works as a sales and customer service advisor at Marks and Spencer Financial Services at Chester Business Park. His many other interests include a fascination with the RMS Titanic, the military history of World War 2 and pub quizzes. Dave is a very popular and hardworking comitee member and has shown commitment above and beyond the call of duty in his two years as chairman |
VICE-CHAIRMAN - Rob Taylor Rob is 46, married and works for Wirral Borough Council. After 12 years service in the RAF as a photo interpreter he returned to Wallasey in 1987. 2003 will be his third year as Vice-chairman and his sixth as Video Librarian, a post held since its inception in 1997. Despite his RAF background, Rob's main interest is Civil aviation photography. The upsurge in "no-frills" airlines has created the perfect opportunity for Rob to visit several European airports at bargain basement fares accompanied by other TWAS members |

VICE-PRESIDENT/PROJECTS MANAGER - Malcolm Kinnear Malcolm is Vice President of TWAS and Projects Manager. He has recently taken on the role of chairman of the Jetstream Club and spends many hours working on the restoration and maintainance of the aircraft at Speke. If that hasnt kept him busy enough he is planning to start a radio control electric flying club that he will head up and supervise. Malcolm has a lifetime's experience in aviation. A dedicated and avid model-maker for as long as he can remember, he started on tissue and balsa models as a child and progressed to the complex radio controlled models he flies today. Malcolm spent 14 years at BAe Chester, where he was involved with the ill fated Mosquito RR299, in addition to his work on Airbus jigs. He is also a world famous aviation artist. |
