Who Are We?
About six years ago, it occurred to a group of homeschoolers in west-central Wisconsin, particularly in the Chippewa Valley, that some sort of networking between all the individual support groups in the area would be beneficial.
Instead of each group re-inventing the wheel every time they wanted to provide an educational or entertaining event or activity for their members, why not pool all the resources and energy of all the groups and provide more opportunities for area homeschoolers--with less overall work!
Before long the Homeschool Area Council was founded.
Each support group has representatives who participate in the Council and serve as liaisons between their own group and the Council.
The Council provides information to homeschoolers and to those considering homeschooling. If you are new to the area or new to homeschooling, we'd be happy to make your acquaintance. Please make yourself at home and feel free to contact us with any questions at:
