The Kisses of a Littleton Snowflake
May the snowflakes fall forever into the hearts of mankind, drifting about in their own purity of love and understanding.

This poem was written and dedicated to the families and friends of those children who were sensessly taken from the ones they loved, during the Columbine School Tragedy.
The Heavens Hearken with love.
April the 20th, 1999
some children left before their time.
April 21st...the day right after,
the nation awoke with absence of laughter.

But just the same...upon this day
the angels cry, too, in their own special way.
Their tears fall like a white crystal rain...
with flakes of love, they try covering the pain.

The purity of these tears blanket the earth,
symbolizing to many the children's new birth.
Each snowflake...each tear that falls from the sky
is a tear from each child as they say their goodbye.

Tears covering the flesh of those left to grieve,
and mingling with the tears of those who believe.
"Believe my families...that we are waiting above",
whisper the snowflakes in their dance of great love.

"Mom, look!" one snowflake exclaims in the air.
"I'm dancing for you...I dance everywhere!"
"Dad!", says another, "Look at me fly,
I'm coming to touch you...I travel from high!"

"Brother, sister...hold out your hands!"
says one dancing snowflake before it lands.
"Let me melt slowly in the warmth of your skin,
while at the same time...my kiss soaks within."

"Catch me, watch me...enjoy my dance."
says another snowflake of beauty enhanced.
"I will stick with you through your time of grief
and I'll try to help you dance in belief."
Gracefully with peace, "I am not gone."
whispers another while it dances with dawn.
"We're all about you!" a bold one exclaimed,
"We dance in beauty, we lay no blame."

Each year in time...the tears will come,
for the hearts, from the sky in an infinite sum.
Yes, each year the families will gather together
no matter the time...no matter the whether.

The snowflakes will show and dance in delight,
touching their families in each day and each night.
They'll dance with mothers and fathers the same,
with brothers and sisters...all in the name.

Of the Lord and his purity that falls from the skies,
to comfort the sorrows, to lay peace to the why's.
Families...we know not the answers for this...
but you can still find laughter in a snowflakes
Little kiss!
