| Numerology is used in Magick to define which numbers affect your luck, or are a dominant feature. Some numbers just keep occurring, though it is unusual for a person to have one key number. It would be unsound to suggest that one number alone can explain a persons' entire personality or character ~ but it does give a starting point to work from. You may notice that there a certain numbers that re-occur in your life ~ these are your 'Key Numbers'...and denote the stronger or dominant features of your personality. |
| In this way of divination, we have two seperate numbers to access a small part of your personality. The consonants are used to gauge your outward personality, and the vowels of your name are used to denote your heart. It is the combining of these two readings that let us see how your heart affects your personality, and vice-versa. |
| To find your outward personality number, use the table below (and to the left) to allocate a numerical figure to each consonant of your chosen name. Add up all the numbers, and if the total is over the value of nine, then add the digits again until you have one digit remaining...UNLESS you have the number 22 or 11 (see below) |
| For example: My Craft name is A M B E R M O O N Disregard the vowels for the moment, and I am left with; M B R M N The numerical value of each number is 4 2 2 4 5 I add these digits until I am left with a single number: 4 + 2 + 2 + 4 + 5 = 17 1 + 7 = 8 My outward personality assessment is denoted by the number 8. Now, the vowels: A E O O are the vowels from my Craft name the numerical value can be added like this: 1 + 5 + 7 + 7 = 20 2 + 0 = 2 My Heart reading is denoted by the number 2. Now you do yours, using the table on the left,, and then see if you agree with the assessment of each number (shown below). |

| Once you have discovered your 'Magick' number, you can use it to enhance your spellwork. Use it to correspond to the best day of the month or week to cast your spells (refer to my pages on Candle and Colour Magick ~ there are correspondences there). |
| Heart Value number 1 (one) You sometimes feel isolated, carrying the burden of the world upon your shoulders. If there is psychic or intuition involved in the outward personality however, you use these times of solitude for meditation and enjoy the loneliness |
| Outward personality Value number 2 (two) This is the number for passive people. You are a sensitive person ~ emotionally and spiritually. You can be persuasive, but are always gently so. |
| Outward personality Value number 1 (one) You are the strong-willed person, occassionally self centred, but will be the first to try anything. |
| Heart Value number 2 (two) This number of the heart is strongly linked to psychic powers. You should know now to trust your instincts. |

There is no 'outer personality' and 'heart' sections seperated in this number ~ it is the 'whole'. However, due to so much going on, the people of '22' tend to be complicated and have extreme highs and lows |
