POETRY...by me, Ambermoon.
Death Of The Day

He seeps from the earthened tone of life
spiralling upward to greet his mistress
Outward stretched arms call ravenously to his soul
his heart aching with desire for her breath on his eyes
They draw nearer, each second doubling the passion
each heartbeat shattering loudly in the space before them
She draws him nearer with the promise of fulfillment
He loves her more than the world could know
This lady of light, of fire
They meet in the vastness of eternity,
the emptiness of the unknown
filling each void with a molecule of passion
He draws her to his chest, she falls in supplication
desperate to know his crushing embrace
yearning to give herself to him
So tenderly, he pulls her nearer, pulse drumming in his veins of red fire
she gives in to him, paralysed by need
as his crushes the love, the light, the life
She lay dying in her arms
The waning of light that makes the day
embers flicker to death
The night has won until she is resurrected
in the dew of morning to fight the passion
and lose once again.

Daybreak

Night is lifted from the earth
By dawn's gentle fingertips
A subtle dance 'twixt
fingers and palms, and,
like the illusionist extraordinaire,
She pulls the sun from her sleeve.
Her radiant smile sends approval
A sight to warm the hearts of millions
As light spreads forth from parted lips,
Like a thankyou from a grateful child.
The softness of her hair draws
the fluffiest clouds to spiral and twist
A ballerina's pirouette in the sky.
And so with the grace and beauty
Only She can hold, She heralds in
the new day.

The Waterfall

Through paths and boughs of green
a wended way, on
dew droplets balanced on carpets of
bluebells, a springtime day.
A harkened splash of minnows
frolicking, playing,
A tuneful of dancing water
to my ears is straying.
To change direction
A look past the fauna
Espied nature's Soul in a
cascade of water.
Webs of stranded silver
falling to a trench
a cacophony of diamond droplets
for to drench
A sparkle of Sun
pinioned and caught
Spiralling, twinkling
to the wettened onslaught
So constant, the water
in its fall and tumble
Creating the shout of
Thunder's deep rumble.
Ere the ignorance
of blessed sleep,
How silently visions
of nature creep
to humble mind
set free, set loose
from tight-hold fist
of twilights' noose
To ease the pain
of everyday
By re-enacting the
glorious display

Thankyou my friend
From the start, to the end.

Cloud over my head, raindrops pasting my feelings against a wall,
I felt lost.
And alone.
And yet, throughout it all...
Who came to rescue this grieving widow?
it was you.
Through every day that was dark, each moment that crushed my heart...
only you knew,
and were there
Always.

So I thank you, my friend,
From the start to the end...

When the dark ruins had eclipsed, the sunshine was found,
I was elated.
I found myself.
And to keep my feet on solid ground...
Who was there to hold me to my promised revelry?
it was you.
Through every moment I yearned to share, each love that burst to care...
You saw me smile
and shared my laughter.
Always.

And I thankyou my friend,
From the start to the end...

Naomi

Upon my breast she lay
Cupid mouth a cherry red bow
All tumbled hair and rosy cheeks.
I breathe the thought "I love her so"
Curled dumpling fingers
around my own slender palm
Clutch and holding the softest grasp
Our heartbeats unison in calm
These sweetest moments
When the world lay silent around
Baby and I will sit and watch
Listen for the humble sound
Softest breath,each zephyr whisper
gems of pure wisdom said
who gains more from the precious treasure?
Innocence in her smoke~ grey eyes
so trusting of me and all that she sees
the wakeful brightness of her eyes dims
as her lashes brush upon her cheeks
Close to sleep and snuffle soft
Her pretty red mouth smiles a charm
Forever my Baby Girl, she lay
and dream, cradled in my arms
"Always...".my heart prays
will she search for love in her mothers hold,
Find the purity of a Mothers love...
every secret shared and told.
O'er brimmed with love I sit
Gazing upon the angelic face
pondering on the countenence
Of innocence and quiet grace
All hopes and dreams I hold for her
within my heart, my soul,my mind
Eternally I'll be here for her
The love of the mother binds.

And Then ... Just ...

The first...
Just a whisper
Of gentleness
Was a vision
In my wanting soul.
The second...
Just a hint
Of yearning
Was desire
In which I wanted to fall.
The third...
Just the touch
Of a friend
Softly given
Took away my loneliness
The next...
Just the opening
Of my soul
Softly tentative
Took away the emptiness

And Then...Just
When I thought
My life could no more grow
You reached out
And
Gave me...You.

BitterSweet

Footsteps falling in my head~
I feel you near,
I can take a breath,
Smell you sweetly here.
Close my eyes to the dark~
I reach for you,
And feel you close,
The touching of your soul.
Reaching out my hand~
A need to linger
On your spirits' face
I stroke lightly, a finger.
I open my lips to speak~
The quiet whisper,
But in the still
The words just falter.
Visions are just in my thoughts~
A broken spell,
I am here, solitary,
Without you to tell
of how bitter the times
when I sit alone,
And sweet the moments
Before you are gone.
