I'm A Problem
‘Forget about him’
I tell myself.
‘He’s not worth your time’
I say.
But how do I forget?
How do I forget
My only father?
How do I forget
His quarks?
His smile,
His wonderful scent,
His hair.
But then I remember
His ignorance,
His careless nature.
The way he never
Shows his love
(if he has any)
The way he ignores
Every problem he has---
I'm a problem to him.
Ignore me,
I'm a problem.
Rub my nose in the dirt,
Break my hear anytime.
It’s okay,
Because I'm a problem.
Ignore me daddy,
I'm a problem.
