There Is A Goddess © Raven Spirit There is a Goddess that stands in a harbor With a torch held high One day someone came and struck her in the eye. The Priest of this Goddess Knelt before his Queen Who did this M' Lady Who would do you harm She did not bow she did not waver She just stood with outstretched arm The Priest called forth the Ancients From the East, South, West, and North These guardians vowed this should be no more So off they went to seek him out as he was on foreign shores This act of cowardice This act that that did impart Did not accomplish the goal obtained to kill the American heart For the torch of this Goddess did not dim But this added fuel to her fire "They destroyed steel but not the American resolve" This Goddess still stands for freedom in her blood-spattered gown And as she stands there firmly Liberty is still her crown People from around the world have mourned with us this day As in the words of a Jewish girl We are all American today |
