It is best avoided as a bath or massage oil

Active Ingredients
Monoterpenes - These are responsible
for lemon oil's antiseptic and stimulating actions.
They provide an expectorant and decongestant properties.
Lemon oil's principle monoterpene is limonene, which
accounts for approximately 70% of its constituents.
Aldehydes - Aldehydes such as the citral and geranial
in lemon give it its light, yet sharp odor.
Citral can be a powerful irritant,
but in lemon oil, it's tempered by limonene.
Furocoumarins - Lemon oil contains tiny,
but active quantities of furocoumarins,
which can cause sensitivity to sunlight.
To avoid any adverse skin reactions,
do not use the oil before sunbathing.

Stimulating Circulation
Lemon oil helps stimulate circulation, making it an ideal
massage oil for people who suffer from high blood pressure
and who are at risk of heart disease.
It helps boost energy levels as well.

*Add a few drops of yarrow to your lemon oil.
