Our Principles of Belief

  1. We hold two principles above all others: the Rede and Threefold Law.
The Rede states: “An it harm none, do as you Will,” and directs us to find our life’s purpose and to do what ittakes to fulfill that purpose without hurting others or ourselves.  The Rede

Threefold Law states that whatever we do--good or bad--will come back to us, magnified at least three fold.

  2. We practice rites to attune ourselves to the rhythms of Nature and the Universe, as reflected in our celebrations of the eternal cycles of the Moon and the Sun.

  3. We recognize that everything in Nature is interconnected, that everything that exists in the Universe is a part of Nature, and with that understanding we have a responsibility to live in harmony with Nature, in ecological balance offering fulfillment to life and consciousness within an evolutionary concept.

  4. We acknowledge a great depth of power that is naturally potential to all.

  5. We conceive of the Divine as manifesting through polarity--feminine and masculine--that exists in all people and all things. This polarity is a characteristic of the flow of Universal Life Energy (or what the Chinese have called Chi for millennia), and flows through all equally regardless of gender.

  6. We hold that all acts of sex and pleasure are natural and are symbolic of the embodiment of life. NOTE: Nonconsensual acts of sexual violence and sexual act with children are in violation of the Rede.

  7. We maintain that the human person exists on several levels of reality including the physical and the subtle (inner) planes. The subtle planes include the etheric (emotive) plane and astral (causual) plane. We see the interaction of the physical and subtle planes as the basis for psychic phenomena and magick. We work to develop all levels of our being equally, for we see them all as necessary for our fulfillment and well being.

  8. Our Path is one of equals. We do honor those who teach, respect those who share their greater knowledge and wisdom, and acknowledge those who courageously give themselves in service and leadership, yet all stand on the same footing.

  9. We see religion, magick, and wisdom in living as being united in the way we view the world and live within it--a world view and philosophy of life which we identify as Witchcraft, Wicca, and the Craft of the Wise.

  10. We seek to harmonize the forces within ourselves that make like possible in order to live wisely and well without harm to others and in harmony with Nature.

  11. We acknowledge that it is the affirmation and fulfillment of life, in a continuation of evolution and development of consciousness, that gives meaning to the Universe we know, and to our personal role within it.

  12. We recognize and affirm all other spiritual paths. Our only difficulty with another religion comes when representatives seek to deny freedom to others or to suppress other ways of religious practice and belief.

  13. We believe that we should seek within nature that which is contributory to our health and well being.
