July 2002 - June 2003 Cultural Representative
As a Cultural Representative for the Saginaw-Chippewa Indian Tribe, my main job entailed me to conduct oral presentations for colleges, high schools, and Boy Scout troops on Native American views, philosophies, and culture. Training received during this time was cultural lessons, Native stories, substance abuse prevention seminars, and field craft as a traditional healer.
November 2000 - March 2001 Teaching Assistant
Teaching, lecturing, and troubleshooting for I.T.T. Tech students during their courses were my main priorities. Teaching and Lecturing covers areas in the following Operating systems: Linux, Win NT, Win98 including Visual Basic 6.0 and C++. Troubleshooting experience comes from the computer networking lab with hubs, network servers, and programming within VB6.0 and C++. I left this position after graduating from I.T.T. and returned home to Mt.Pleasant.
March 1997 - January1998 Recruiter
Job duties at the Saginaw - Chippewa Indian Tribe of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan for the position of Recruiter entailed screening, interviewing, and background checks of applicants for positions in the Tribes Resort Hotel and Casino as well as for Tribal operations. Other responsibilities included clerical tasks, time management, and counselor as an Equal Employment Officer.
October 1991 - January 1997 Corporal, USMC
Technical work entailed troubleshooting, repairing, and reading schematics of Hydraulics / Pneumatic systems of the AV8B Harrier, CH-46 and CH-53 Helicopters by on-site jobs or by test bench. Other duties included troop leadership, control and moving of Hazardous Material handling along with the base EPA office, Teaching classes on ESD, Safety, and Hazardous Material / MSDS
