Stevin Simon was a great mathematician. His father's name was Antheunis and his father was a bad man because he abandoned Stevin and mother when Stevin was very young. Stevin Simon was born in Brugge(Belgium) in 1548,and died in Brugge(Belgium) in either Febuary or April of 1620. That means his life span was about 72 years. Stevin was raised a Catholic.
The subjects he was good at in school were Mathematics, engineering, and mechanic's. Stevin wrote 11 books about trigonometry, geography, and fortification. Stevin was also quartermaster in the army. |
